Abstract
Several 2-arylidenylamino-5- (carbazolylmethyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazoles 4 and 1- [5'-(carbazolylmethyl)-1',3', 4'-thiadiazol-2'-yl)]-4-(substituted phenyl)- 3-chloro-2-oxo-azetidines 5 have been synthesised and evaluated for their a ntimicrobial, anticonvulsant and antiinflammatory activities. Their structu res have been elucidated on the basis of their elemental analysis and spect ral data.
