Abstract
Isotope exponent alpha of YBa2Cu3O6+x has been analysed with oxygen content (x=0.4-1.0) by using exact expressions for isotope shift exponent for a el ectronic density of states (EDOS) in the Van I-love singularity scenario (V HS). The result;reproduces the general experimental trend of alpha as a fun ction of x. The theoretical value of alpha at optimum doping has been found lesser than that obtained by other workers, though the experimental value is still smaller.
