Abstract
In this paper, A domain decomposition parallel scheme for the linear disper sive equation u(t) + au(xxx) = 0 is presented. The stability criteria for t he constructed scheme is derived, and its stability bound is (7 - root 17)/ 2 times that for the explicit method. Numerical experiments demonstrate the theoretic result is sharp.
