Abstract
The reaction between various ''living'' polymers and C-60 Was investig ated in polar and non polar solvents. In toluene only addition is obse rved, a maximum of 6 chains are grafted using a styryl or an isoprenyl carbanion and 3 with I,l-diphenyl ethenyl. In THF, for all three carb anions studied 2 electrons are first transferred followed by addition of respectively 4, 3 and 0 chains with the carbanions styryl, 2-vinyl pyridinyl and 1,1-diphenyl ethenyl.
