Abstract
The catalytic behaviour of series of Ru/Al2O3 catalysts promoted with vario us levels of Au were investigated in the GO-hydrogenation reaction and have been the subject of numerous investigations. Catalytic activities and prod uct selectivities reveal that no significant ensembles or electronic effect is produced by the addition of Au to Ru/Al2O3, system. it is suggested tha t a significant fraction of added Au species interacts with the support rat her with the Ru metal.
