Abstract
The incorporation of 2'-bromodidehydro[N-(CH3)-C-14]reticulinium iodide (1) into (+/-)-12-bromotetrahydropalmatine (J), (+)-12-bromotetrahydropalmatin e (9) and (-)-12-bromotetrahydropalmatine (7) in Cocculus laurlfolius DC (M enispermaceae) has been studied and stercospecific reduction of 1 into (+)- 9 and (-)-7 and (+/-)-(J), 12-bromotetrahydropalmltines demonstrated.
