Effects of THC on brain and social organization of ants

After a single dose of H-3-LSD or THC (100 mu g/ml), the maximum brain conc entration of LSD reached 150 pg after 12 hours and that of THC reached 800 pg after 36 hours. Ants fed sugar water containing 100 mu g/mL LSD or 1 mg/ mL THC (the maximum that could be solubilized in water-Tween) presented imp airment of social behavior. Behavioral reactions or the performance of indi vidual ants were likewise altered.
