Abstract
Glasses in the quaternary system 15NaI-15Na(2)O-70[xV(2)O(5)-(1 - x)B2O3] w hen x = 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08 and 0.1, respectively were investigated emph asizing the influence of two glass formers on the transport properties. X-r ay Diffractometry, Differential Scanning Calorimetry and conductivity studi es were employed for the characterization. The mixed glass former effect on the conductivity was noticed and discussed. The best conducting glass comp osition was used as an electrolyte for the fabrication of a solid state cel l. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
