Nowadays, there has been growing interest in printed antenna arrays up to t
he millimeter-wave band for communication systems, and they have many appli
cations, such as in indoor communications. In this paper we will show, for
a 38.6 GHz antenna that a tee-junction discontinuity acts as an important s
ource in the array if its position and dimensions are not correctly studied
. Measurements confirm the theoretical results. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons.
