Abstract
In this paper, the dependence of photorefractive light-induced scattering a nd two-beam mixing on the incident light intensity in doped lithium niobate crystals is studied experimentally. Our results show that optimum working light intensity exists in photorefractive amplification and optimum light a mplification could be totally separated from the photorefractive light-indu ced scattering in double-doped lithium niobate crystals.
