Nanophases in polymers

Polymers have been reinforced by nanophases for a long time. Nevertheless r ecent technological progress have allowed to put forward new materials, con firming the reinforcing effect of nanoparticles in polymer. They also empha size the importance of three main parameters in these nanostructured system s : the mechanical coupling between the two phases, the possible cross-link ing of the macromolecules by the nanoparticles and the connectivity between reinforcing particles.
