Abstract
the present paper deals with the texture, deformation mechanisms and mechan ical properties of a and near a alloys (i.e, with hexagonal symmetry matrix ) as zinc, titanium and zirconium alloys. For items related aspects are reviewed: initial texture and texture evolutions during the deformation and especiall y the cold rolling; determination of active deformation mechanisms; mechanical properties depending on the texture and deformation mechanisms; modelling and prediction of mechanical properties.
