The phase transition (PT) into the superionic state in Ag2CdI4 thin films w
as investigated by optical absorption and luminescence methods. It was show
n that the PT observed in the temperature region 330-380 K may be described
as a sequence of two phase transitions, associated correspondingly with th
e melting of the Ag+ sublattice and with the storage of iodide and/or cadmi
