Abstract
Prey items were found outside of welded-wire cage traps containing island f ox pups (Urocyon littoralis) on 24 occasions and outside of traps containin g adult foxes on 11 occasions. Prey items included mice, lizards, and birds . Island fox pups were observed foraging with adults and were caught with a dults in the same trap on 22 occasions. Mie believe fox pups receive extend ed parental care and were provisioned while in the traps.
