Abstract
Cyclic and shorter-period variations of local (sunspots) and Large-scale so lar magnetic fields during the past similar to 30 years are analyzed. It is concluded that in the solar interior there are two partially interconnecte d and spatially separated magnetic-field generation systems with fundamenta lly different properties. This result brings out one of the crucial factors explaining the failure of dynamo models of solar cyclicity to properly des cribed experimental data.
