Abstract
London Brook Advisory Centres (LBAC) see young people under the age of 25 w ho need advice on sexual health and contraception. A number of Brook client s will require a referral to a Genito-Urinary Medicine Clinic (GUM) for sex ually transmitted infection (STI) testing. The aim of this audit was to asc ertain the percentage of clients who actually attend the GUM clinic. The da ta collected showed a very low level of GUM clinic attendance by the referr ed Brook clients. In February 1999 a new Brook Centre opened in Brixton (So uth West London) which when funded will provide a full sexual health servic e including STI screening for our young clients.
