New quinolones and naphthyridinones bearing heterocyclic rings

The behaviour of some alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones or beta-diketones, der ived from quinolones, naphthyridinones or a combination of both of them, to wards amines, diamines, and other ammonia derivatives at different ratios a nd conditions had been studied; the result were many interesting polyhetero cyclic compounds containing either quinolone, naphthyridinone or both as th e main moiety besides the recently formed hetero rings as: diazepine, oxaze pine, thiazepine, triazepine, thiazole, thiazoline, pyrazoline, isooxazolin e, pyrimidine, indole, triazinoindole, and quinoxaline. The structures of t he resulting new polyheterocyclic compounds were established by chemical re actions, elemental analysis, and spectral data.
