Abstract
Synthesis of a new labile protecting group, 2-(2,4-Dinitrophenylsulphonyl) Ethyloxycarbonyl Chloride was carried out. Protection of amino functionalit y of some amino acids such as Glycine, Alanine, Tryptophan, Leucine, Isoleu cine and Valine were also carried out. Cleavage reaction of the group was m onitored spectrophotometrically and racemization studies were also carried out.
