Kinetics of complexation of Ni(II) and Co(II) by L-2,6-diaminocaproic acid
has been investigated as a function of pH and temperature at 0.1 M KNO3 usi
ng stopped flow technique. The overall rate constants have been resolved in
to stepwise rate constants. The activation parameters corresponding to each
step have been evaluated. A reaction scheme on the basis of the comprehens
ive kinetic study consistent with our kinetic data has been proposed.
