The volumetric and compressibility properties of urea and ethylene glycol a
re studied at 2 degrees, 4 degrees, 8 degrees and 10 degrees C. The apparen
t molal volumes and apparent molal compressibilities have been calculated a
nd analysed. Both the systems are seen to show opposite trends with respect
to phi(v), but their variation of phi(k) with concentration is found to be
similar.
