Adsorption of nickel octaethylporphyrin (OEP)Ni onto calcium phosphate hydr
oxy (HAP) or fluorapatite (FAP) was evidenced by a (OEP)Ni transfer from th
e solution to the apatitic solid. Furthermore, the UV-visible data of the r
ecuperated solid justify the association of (OEP)Ni to the apatitic solid,T
his adsorption is of Langmuir's type; it is more significant for FAP than H
AP. Addition of calcium or phosphate ions to the apatite-(OEP)Ni mixture ca
uses the inhibition of the adsorption phenomenon, which favours the hypothe
sis of the apatite-(OEP)Ni association by means of cationic as well as anio
nic groupings.
