Abstract
We define a generalization of the Shapovalov form for contragradient Lie al gebras and compute its determinant for Generalized Verma modules induced fr om a well-embedded sl(2, C) subalgebra. As a corollary we obtain a generali zation of the EGG-theorem for Generalized Verma modules. (C) 1999 Academic Press.
