Abstract
The automatization of the logical design of discrete devices that use exper t knowledge is considered. The problem domain is analyzed. A production-fra me model for knowledge representation is proposed. The frame technique allo ws one to describe the essential characteristics of design situations, and productions are used to describe design decision rules and design actions.
