LiCoO2 cathode materials with uniform gr ain size were prepared using fine
grained CO3O4 particles. The effects of the molar ratio of Li/Co and the si
ntering temperature on the microstructure (the grain size and its distribut
ion) and the electric propel ties were studied. The AC impedance analysis i
ndicated the presence of the secondary phases mainly at the gr ain boundary
. The reversible Li+-intercalation/deintercalation capacity was also examin
ed and the maximum value of 130 mAh g(-1) was obtained using the optimum pr
