Abstract
The interaction of dimethyltin(IV), diethyltin(IV) and trimethyltin(IV) wit h some selected peptides was investigated at 25 degrees C and ionic strengt h 0.1 M NaNO3 by a potentiometric technique. The peptides are bound to dial kyltin(IV) by carboxylate, deionized amide and amino groups. However, pepti des are bound to trimethyltin(IV) by the am ino group. The effect of the pK a values of the peptides on the stability constants of their complexes were elucidated. The concentration distribution of the complexes in solution wa s evaluated.
