rms and open-door policy have brought an unprecedented (''industrial r
evolution'') in its many counties, towns and villages. This offers you
ng Chinese farmers greater opportunities to achieve economic prosperit
y and enjoy leisure. In other ways, these dramatic changes have create
d many new youth needs and problems that demand stronger commitment of
the local governments toward the provision of youth services, and cha
llenge the conventional philosophy and modes of service delivery of th
e Chinese Communist Youth League in the rural areas.
