Abstract
The electropolymerization of 3-methoxythiophene (MOT) was performed on Pt a nd Fe electrodes in an aqueous micellar medium containing sodium dodecyl su lfate and 10(-3) M bithiophene (BT). Electroactive, homogeneous, adhesive P MOT-PBT composite films are constituted of oligomers, including PMOT and PE T, and traces of copolymers. The electrocatalytic effect of BT in the elect ropolymerization process is demonstrated, allowing electrodeposition of PMO T-PBT coatings on iron.
