Abstract
The cytotoxic effect of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on cultivated bovine aorti c endothelial cells was determined. This LPS-induced cytotoxicity was atten uated by diosmin, That means, the IC50-value of LPS in the combination with 8 mu mol/l diosmin was shifted from 31 to 70 ng/ml in a concentration depe ndent manner. As a hypothesis it was suggested, that the inhibition of LPS- induced cytotoxicity in bovine aortic endothelial cell cultures by diosmin could be probably mediated via inhibition of tyrosine kinases.
