Abstract
The transfer reaction p(He-8, d)He-7 has been studied by correlational meas urements, and an excited state of 7He was observed (E* = 2.9 +/- 0.3 MeV, G amma = 2.2 +/- 0.3 MeV) which decays mainly into 3n + He-4. Most likely, it has a structure with a neutron in an excited state coupled to the He-6 cor e which itself is in the excited 2(+) state, [S0031-9007(99)09012-2].
