Abstract
Four norterpenoid glucosides have been characterized along with a sesquiter penoid glucoside from the aerial parts of Juniperus phoenicea and Galega of ficinalis. Among these five compounds, two norterpenoids which are 3-oxo-al pha-ionol glucosides named junipeionoloside and 6-hydroxy-junipeionoloside are new natural products. These new norterpenoids were isolated from Junipe rus phoenicea together with an other known norterpenoid glucoside: roseosid e and a sesquiterpenoid glucoside: dihydrophaseic acid 4'-O-beta-D-glucopyr anoside. We also have identified from Galega officinalis a rare norterpenoi d glucoside: dearabinosyl pneumonanthoside. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
