Abstract
In this study we provide new data on the duration of the inter-menstrual in tervals of six captive female bonobos (Pan paniscus). We found that the mea n duration of the inter-menstrual interval was about 34 days. This lies clo se to the average value of 37 days that has been reported for common chimpa nzees (Pan troglodytes).
