Abstract
From Alpha (Orionis and the parameter in mixing-length theory) to Omega (Ce ntauri and the density of the universe), the Greeks had a letter for it. In between, we look at the Sun and planets, some very distant galaxies and ne arby stars, neutrinos, gamma rays, and some of the anomalies that arise in a very large universe being studied by roughly one astronomer per 10(7) Gal actic stars.
