Abstract
IR, electronic absorption, X-ray photoelectron, and NMR spectroscopies were used to study the products of reaction of rhodium(III) hydroxide with acet ic or trifluoroacetic acid. Catalytic activity of the obtained compounds in methanol oxidation is observed.
