K. Rykaczewski et al., Studies of nuclei at and beyond the proton drip-line with stable and radioactive beams at HRIBF, ACT PHY P B, 30(3), 1999, pp. 565-579
Investigations of nuclei in the proton drip-line region performed at the Ho
lifield Radioactive Ion Beam Facility (HRIBF) within the last two years are
reviewed. In particular, the discovery of Rye new proton radioactivities H
o-140, Ho-141m, Tm-145, Lu-150m and Lu-151m is discussed. These proton emit
ters were produced by means of fusion-evaporation reactions and studied wit
h a Recoil Mass Separator and a Double-sided Silicon Strip Detector. For Cs
-113 and Lu-151, th, studies of level structure were extended beyond the pr
oton-emitting states via the measurements with a clover array CLARION using
Recoil Decay Tagging. The plan to use a fusion-evaporation reaction with a
radioactive As-69 beam developed at HRIBF, in order to study the decay of
a new beta-delayed proton emitter Nd-125, is also described.
