Pj. Sebastian et Me. Calixto, Porous CdSe : CdO particulate structure formed by screen printing and sintering of Cd and Se powders in air, ADV MAT OPT, 9(1), 1999, pp. 35-43
A porous CdSe particulate structure was formed by screen printing of high-p
urity Cd and Se powders with CdCl2 as the flux, followed by sintering at hi
gh temperature in air. The structural, morphological, optoelectronic and ph
otoelectrochemical properties of the screen-printed CdSe structure depend o
n the Cd/Se ratio (composition) and sintering temperature. The final coatin
g consisted of a CdSe:CdO composite structure after sintering in air. This
coating exhibited high photosensitivity and large-grain structure, which ma
y be exploited for its use as a photoconductor in solid state devices and a
s a photoelectrode in photoelectrochemical energy conversion processes. Cop
