Abstract
Although many surgical procedures have been proposed to reduce the size of a left atrium, their effectiveness is not well established. We present a ca se of mitral and tricuspid valve insufficiency with a giant left atrium. Pa rtial heart autotransplantation was used in a mitral and tricuspid valve op eration with a successful outcome. This procedure can be an effective metho d to treat giant left atrium.
