Abstract
The use of a provocative test to elicit selective regional myocardial dysfu nction (detected with intraoperative TEE) as a method to infer adequacy of regional myocardial perfusion following MIDCAB is described. We liken the s imilarity of this technique to the originally described "Allens test" for d etermination of collateral blood flow adequacy.
