Abstract
We describe a technique to relieve tension on the reimplanted right coronar y button during aortic root replacement. A hood is fashioned from autogenou s aorta or pericardium to provide a funnel inflow to the coronary ostium. T he technique can be used either electively or as a rescue maneuver in the e vent of right ventricular ischemia. (Ann Thorac Surg 1999;67:1176-7) (C) 19 99 by The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
