Peb. Fitzgerald et Mw. Knuiman, Interpretation of regressive logistic regression coefficients in analyses of familial data, BIOMETRICS, 54(3), 1998, pp. 909-920
Regressive logistic regression was introduced by Bonney in 1986 and, due to
its easy implementation using standard logistic regression computer packag
es, has been widely used in the analysis of binary familial disease traits.
Associations between binary outcomes for different family members are meas
ured by regression coefficients included in the corresponding legit models.
The interpretation of these coefficients is examined in detail, revealing
a number of features of the method that are worthy of comment.
