Abstract
The solution of vector radiative transfer equation is found for the ca se of normal incidence of a wide non-polatized light beam at a medium with large-scale inhomogeneities. The generalization of the well-known Small angle solution for the Stocks parameters of light transmitted t hrough relatively thin layers, where photon trajectories curvature is negligible, is obtained; A qualitative description of the formation of light polarization in absorbing media is presented. The dependence of light polarization on the form of the scattering indicatrix is analyz ed in details.
