In the context of earlier developed notions for absorption spectra the
correlation between intensity of flurescence of suspended matter and
the solution is obtained. A model on whose basis this was done involve
s the consideration of absorption of exciting radiation and reabsorpti
on of the fluorescence emission by a suspended matter particle. The fo
rm of the suspended matter particle was approximated by a sphere. It i
s shown that the difference between the intensity of the Suspended mat
ter fluorescence and that of the solution caused by the effect conside
red are determined by the particle dimensions and their absorption coe
fficient. The quantitative estimation of these differences is consider
ed on the example of phytoplankton in the water. It is shown that in t
his case the fluorescence intensity under the conditions of the fluore
scent matter transformation from a suspended state into solution may a
ugment by several times and exceeds considerably corresponding variati
ons in the absorption spectra.
