Abstract
340Gbit/s (32 x 10.66Gbit/s) WDM transmission over 6054km with a bit error ratio of less than 10(-9) has been succussfully demonstrated, using low dis persion slope hybrid fibre spans of large core fibre and dispersion shifted fibre and optical signal power optimisation.
