Abstract
We have investigated the transferred hyperfine interaction due to the transfer of spin density from the Mn2+ ion to the Na+ ion in a NaMnCl3 single crystal by measuring the magnetic susceptibility and the param agnetic shift of the nuclear magnetic resonance. The transferred hyper fine field of Na-23 in NaMnCl3 was obtained in the paramagnetic phase; the measured value of the transferred hyperfine field was H-hf = 464 Oe at 300 K.
