Abstract
Four novel dinuclear platinum complexes [PtCl2(Me2SO)](2)(L) with pyridine- based single bridging ligands, L=4,4'-dipyridyl selenide (dpse), bis(3-meth yl-4-pyridyl) selenide (dpsem), 4,4'-dipyridyl sulfide (dpsu), bis(3-methyl -4-pyridyl) sulfide (dpsum), have been prepared for use as potential antica ncer agents. The characterization of these complexes is based on microanaly sis, IR, H-1, C-13 and Pt-195 NMR.
