Abstract
The assumptions of a simple thermodynamical theory of radiative transfer ar e modified, and consistency with some recent statistical-mechanical results is achieved. Thr model presented provides a thermodynamical framework; for the description not only of radiative heat transport but also of energy ex change between matter and radiation.
