Abstract
A highly-deformed, excited band has recently been observed in Kr-77 in an e xperiment using GAMMASPHERE with the MICROBALL, and a rather analogous band has been found in the isotone Se-75 using the Pitt-FSU array. They apear t o be somewhat intermediate between normal and superdeformed bands and repre sent the deformation-driving effects of the [431]1/2 intruder orbital.
