Electrical resistivity rho and the magnetic susceptibility have been measur
ed for CaRu1-xMnxO3 (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.3).
The samples are all metallic. The Kondo effect occurred in rho. The Kondo t
emperature is about 48 K independent of the Mn concentration, and rho took
a minimum value at 310K for r 0.3. Weak ferromagnetic moment and a field co
oling effect were induced by the Mn substitution. However, these magnetic b
ehaviors may not stem from a canted antiferromagnetism nor itinerant ferrom
agnetism which homogeneously prevails in the entire lattice since the occur
rence of Kondo effect indicates that some or Mn ions are not involved in a
magnetically cooperative state.
