Abstract
The results of a survey designed to identify electronic, public access , community information systems are reported and the degree to which s uch systems provide consumer health information is determined. The ext ent and nature of this information is compared with the requirements o f government guidelines, and the suitability of these systems as a maj or source of consumer health information, both now and in the future, is examined.
