Abstract
During the first inspections carried out on buried reinforced concrete pipe lines of the Rio Colorado-Tijuana Aqueduct (RCTA), several types of corrosi on-caused failures were detected. Both the failures and the lack of anticor rosive cathodic protection systems represented a potential danger in aquedu ct performance. This study focused on the causes of the problem and possibl e solutions.
