Abstract
(3,5-Diphenyl-1-o-tolyl-1H-pyrrol-2-yl)phenylmethanone 3a and (1-naphthalen -1-yl-3,5-diphenyl-1H-pyrrol-2-yl)phenylmethanone 4a are atropisomeric and their LAH reductions afford mixtures of atropdiastereoisomeric (3,5-dipheny l-1-o-tolyl-1H-pyrrol-2-yl)phenylmethanoles 3b,c and (1-naphthalen-1-yl-3,5 -diphenyl-1H-pyrrol-2-yl)phenylmethanoles 4b,c, respectively.
